Angel Rivera also known as DJ Phoenix. Born and raised on south side of Chicago. I was fortunate enough to get taken in by some of the very best in the Chicago land area. I've performed at some of Chicago's biggest clubs and venues such as Club Nikki, V-Live Chicago, Congress Theater, Linkin House, Excalibur, K-Oz night club and many more. My determination and passion for music allows me to succeed and grow with no intention on stopping. An event that changed my perspective on life was on March 11, 2011 when I had an unexplainable stroke at the age of 19. I had lost complete movement in the right side of my body.  I thought I’d never be able to move again let alone DJ again. Fortunately, I made a full recovery and am stronger than ever (still no answers as to why it happened). Due to these events I’ve come to see that there is so much to the life of music that isn't seen. Countless hours of work, sleepless nights, preparation of music, planning of events. It's been a long hard road but i know now that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. The name is DJ Phoenix and my life is about creating and playing the music that you party to.
